This hotel really could of been a 5 star , but they did one thing wrong to bring them down to a 3. I made reservations 3month in advance, I was promised early check in and late check out with a SF view room. I pre check the day before they said ok . I get there day of no bay rooms ready said we would have to wait till 3pm. Then we ended up with a room facing a wall on the end , no view at all. Everything else was good.

The rooms are very nice, the place was always clean, and the hotel breakfast was always staffed! I had to contact the location becuase I lost the receipt and was helped by Evelyn - who was wonderful! Excellent hotel, I would stay here again.

As a professional traveler I was extremely disappointed with this location. Disgusting location with homeless and trash everywhere. Horrible parking situation, $50 valet. Front desk was very rude, could not be bothered to get off personal cell phones. My mobile check in was not recognized at this location for whatever reason and was placed on the lowest floor despite status. My “Ambassador” loyalty gift also a joke - Mini bag of pretzels and a water. Room was unclean, linen obviously not changed and smelled. NO hot water at 5:30 am. 1/10 location

I stayed at the Residence Inn in Oakland for three nights while relocating from Florida and waiting for our apartment to be ready. Unfortunately, the experience was one problem after another, and the way it was handled left me extremely disappointed. Night 1: When we arrived, the lights in our room didn’t work at all. I had to join a Zoom meeting in a dark room while we waited for maintenance. Maintenance eventually arrived and got the lights working, but around 10:00 PM the lights started clicking on and off. We called maintenance again, and although they tried, they could not fix the issue. My daughter was already asleep, and we didn’t want to wake her and move everything late at night, so we agreed to switch rooms in the morning. We were told the night would be comped, and for a moment it seemed like things would improve. Night 2: The room seemed fine until we ran the dishwasher, which started leaking badly and soaked the room. Once again, this happened around 10:00 PM. Maintenance came again and again could not fix it. We were exhausted, our daughter was sleeping, and we didn’t want to move all our bags and belongings late at night, so we shut the dishwasher off and dried everything ourselves. The next morning: I went downstairs and was told we would be switched to a new room and that the second night would be comped as well. That never happened. We were not switched, and the promised comp did not happen as explained to me. Checkout: When we left, there were no bell carts available. Because we are in the middle of moving and had a lot of luggage, we had to carry everything to the car ourselves in three separate trips. Follow-up and broken promises: When I reported everything at checkout, the front desk representative told me the day manager had already contacted the GM and that they were waiting on final approval to issue a points refund to my Marriott account for the inconvenience and broken rooms, which would cover all three nights. I was told the points would appear within 48 hours. They never did. When I later contacted the hotel, I was put on hold for 30 minutes, and then told no one remembered promising that and that I would only receive a refund for one night. This hotel was an absolute disgrace to the Marriott brand. Between the repeated room failures, late-night maintenance visits, lack of follow-through on promises, and poor customer service, it completely destroyed my trust in staying with Marriott going forward.

Quality hospitality, nice location and clean room with good view- city and ocean , Nice ? Breakfast included You can find street metered parking if you don’t want to pay for $ 50 valet , don’t leave stuff inside the car

The situation outside the hotel isn't great. The room itself was relatively clean and modern. I am extremely annoyed that I chose a pantry credit for my ambassador elite reward and was charged for it. Further annoyed that I expected to pay $50 for valet but was charged an extra $10 parking tax per night. Be upfront about it. If it's $60 to park just say it's $60 to park. We asked to have some amenities delivered to the room but two hours later nothing and we had to call again before something was delivered. Breakfast was acceptable. But as many other reviewers have said. This place shouldn't be your first choice. Side note about the room: That light is so poorly positioned I hit my head so many times on it...

The rooms are modern and clean with a nice bathroom. The AC Lounge has good food and a good service. The staff is friendly. The hotel should be more strickt to clients whom use weed (cannabis) and deny them access to the hotel. We had twice a smell of weed on our floor and in our room. A message to past and future clients of this hotel (or any other hotel for that matter): do not show up for breakfast in your pyjamas. That's rude and ugly !

The guy working at the front desk when visited was rude from the very start. His attitude and lack of customer service at the tone for the very short time that I stayed there. The hotel is in a good location. The rooms are very small and I think he had an attitude with me for some reason he put in my room right by the elevator which I can hear everything. I don't smoke, and he came to my room after about an hour and knocked on my door and told me he could smell smoke. I slammed the door in his face after I told him I don't smoke. I immediately packed my bags didn't even turn in my key didn't even tell him I was leaving and I was gone didn't ask for my money back or anything. I would never ever ever ever stay there or recommend anyone stay there.

Valet somehow got locked out of the garage they park our cars in, had to take an uber to and from my destination instead. AC randomly stopped working after they tested the fire alarms and it’s reaching 75+ degrees in my room.

first of all, expect to pay 60 dollars a night to have car parked. I was checked into a room, and AC didn't work and had to move rooms. Security guard and vallet workers were super rude and not helpful at all. The gym was nice and the room was also nice. This outside location is being run by the homeless, and it's actually disgusting. The bar was also closed one night due to poor management and no accountability from staff. Security guards need to be fired!
