The front desk employee was welcoming, nice and very helpful. We checked in quite easily as we did have reservation. Room: Clean! But the curtains did have some marks on it. Carpet had some tracks and dirt. Other than that, everything else was clean. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The toilet was an interesting experience as the toilet had its own room; you have to open the bathroom door and then another door to use the toilet in a 1 bedroom room. Other than that, the room was great. We had balcony view. The free breakfast is free. Dont have high expectations. Definitely lock your car as the area is a bit suspicious at night but thankfully nothing happened to our car. Location is excellent if you want to quickly get on the highway (and into traffic). There is no restauant or gas station near by so you will have to drive out some where to get food. Overall, a good hotel! we enjoyed our stay.

I have patronized this establishment about 4 times in the past year. $300 is too much to spend on one night when you can’t enjoy it. This last visit was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with housekeeping ever. Check out is posted for 11am and for some reason rooms need to be vacated at dawn! At 9am, I was woken up by a knock then my door open and housekeeping is walking in. I had to yell that I’m still here and she left out. Then a little after 10am housekeeping starts knocking on the door again! At this time I’m pissed, because one time is an accident but twice is not a coincidence!! I contacted the General Manager by email and still no response back. I definitely wouldn’t recommend visiting this hotel to anyone that likes to sleep in while they are away from home.

This property was built well and nicely reinforced all around. My room door was very solid and heavy and the entire building has a very good quality feel. Windows, elevators, doors, hallways, and flooring is good quality. Can’t hear neighbors, or guests walking around or the interstate freeway right nearby so long as the room is facing the water. I totally enjoyed this place. Picture is of very cute coffee house a block away in the Embarcadero.

*Review based on longer term stay* Requesting room cleaning has been a bit of a hassle. Front desk communication with housekeeping seems to be an issue. This is a normal issue for hotels these days, idk if they're reluctant to be persistent due to lackluster wage and they just dont care. I was asked by two different receptionists "well did you recently get a room cleaning?" First time I said yes, maybe 2 or 3 days ago. Second time, I said what does that have to do with me requesting it within this upcoming specified time frame? If I can not get them to do room service tommorow, Im going to lower to a 3 star review. Heaps of dust in the room. You can see it when the light shines through the big window. Otherwise the ev charging exists. 2 charging stalls for 2 hotels little lackluster. Pool and hot tub also shared with hotel next store. Jets seem to malfunctioning on the hot tub. Its a decent place. Just decent. Taco truck in front of sister hotel takes cash and zelle only.

I stayed for one (1) night at and in the Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel in Oakland, California, on July 26, 2025, because I was attending a party event in Oakland on the night of July 26, 2025. When I arrived at the hotel, if I recall correctly, I believe that I arrived early before the designated time to check into my hotel room. However, the woman at the front desk was nice enough to allow me to check in early into my hotel room. When I arrived at and in my hotel room, I liked my hotel room. The hotel room was spacious and clean. The hotel room had a microwave (which I did not use), but was a great amenity, nevertheless. The hotel room had a safe so that I can safely and securely store my valuables, which is something key that I look for when I stay at and in a hotel. When the safe was not functioning properly, I recall that I telephoned the front desk, and the woman that I answered the telephone promptly addressed the issue, and an employee from the hotel immediately arrived at and in my hotel room to repair the safe in my hotel room. The hotel is a relatively short walk from an eatery labeled "Brotzeit Lokal." This hotel did also serve complimentary breakfast, which was a huge plus. As a result, in general, and overall, I had a very positive experience at and in and regarding the Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel.

We love this hotel. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly. Very helpful. The rooms are so nice. So clean. They're large the balconies. Have a great view. Highly recommend this hotel.

What a lovely find! We wanted a room near the Oakland Scottish Rite for the Gaskell Ball. What we got was a huge room with a balcony overlooking the estuary with birds and a gorgeous sunset. The room was clean and in good repair. The bed was far more comfortable than a recent Marriott. It was quiet and the morning breakfast included an espresso machine and tasty cheesy eggs. Bonus points for free EV charging (2 stations!) that changed our morning plan from “find charger” to drive home without a stop. 100% would stay here again.

The staff are really nice and helpful here and make the stay worth while. The rooms are clean and spacious although a bit dim lit and lack of charging ports near the bed. The location is close enough to the Oakland Airport but a little bit of a dead zone with BART by passing the neighborhood making stops in Fruitvale and Lake Merritt. There is a Brooklyn Basin bike and walking trail, which is good for about a quarter mile before you run into tents and or construction, but a beautiful morning walk. Also Parking is $17 and not included with the room. I have never been to a hotel that charged for parking in their lot. I’m not sure if others in the area do, but a great thing to factor in the price.

My stay at the Best Western Plus Bayside was amazing! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and exceptional service. The room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The amenities were top-notch, and I especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay!
